Let me walk you through my desk setup here at Lugi Design Studio and give you an insight into the tools that help me create the best brand identity and website designs possible.
My desk setup has slowly evolved since I started designing. From a tiny IKEA desk and my 6 year old laptop to a clean and spacious double screen setup. I get so many comments on my Instagram and Tiktok complementing my setup or asking where I’ve got things from, so I thought I’d give you the full tour!
WHAT’S IN THE LUGI DESIGN STUDIO DESK SETUP?
COMPUTERS/SCREENS
Apple 24” M1 Chip Mac
IPad Pro 12” 2020
These are the MVPs of the Lugi Design Studio setup. Starting with the Apple M1 chip mac, I’m in love. The newest addition to the setup is my Benq DesignVue second screen. I can’t even explain how much of a game changer this second screen is. I can rotate the screen to fit whatever I’m working on, whether I have my design notes or code files to work from. I just don’t know how I got anything done before this!
FILMING TOOLS
Chances are, you’re probably reading this because you found me on social media. Here are the tools I use to film all of my content! I mainly use the extendable arm to hold my phone, this is anchored to the side of my desk and is great for setting up the perfect shot. I also use the bluetooth remote to start/stop filming, it’s so helpful when I’m filming my design process timelapse style videos where I don’t want to move my phone between shots.
DESK STYLING
Honestly, everything is from IKEA. I don’t get paid for promoting them, but I really should! IKEA if you’re reading this, hit me up.
BOOKS
Here are some of my favourite books and resources. The Daily Goal Getter is my go-to planner. The daily pages are great for organising tasks and the affirmations section really helps me get in the right mindframe to start my day. I’ve used this planner for the last 2 years and buy a new one as soon as I reach the end!
